My name is Niket Shah and I am a research student in India. Right now I am working with a service bureau in India which has recently bought a Fortus 260mc. The thing which is confusing in my thesis work is, when I am using a component which has thickness less than 30mm the time take by print head to change layer is 3.61 seconds whereas with larger parts, the time to change layers is approx 0.5 seconds. I gained this simulation from Insight simulation for Fortus 900mc. Can you please tell me the reason for such huge difference in layer change time.
