Cimquest Training Options

“The only thing worse than training your employees and having them leave is not train them and they stay” – Henry Ford

Cimquest offers top-notch training in a large variety of different topics at our facilities in NJ, PA, MA, and CT, as well as on remote. All of our instructors have gone through an internal training on teaching adult learners using the simple and effective methodology of “show tell do check.” The Cimquest Mastercam Application Engineers/Instructors are either CNC machinists, Tool & Die Makers, or Mold Makers. Each of our highly-experienced instructors is ready to provide their expert knowledge of both the courseware and applications of what is being taught. And our Geomagic instructors are experienced application engineers who work daily providing 3D scanning and reverse engineering when they are not teaching.

In-Person Training Classes

Our classrooms generally hold a maximum of 8 students. We strongly believe that our small class sizes are essential to ensure maximum instructor/student interaction and greater student success. Each student works on his/her own computer, and there is a great focus on hands-on learning. All software classes are taught on the latest version.

Remote Training

Years before the virus situation changed our world we were doing remote virtual online training for customers. This remote option saved time driving and money on travel costs. Our training program began in 1990 and we added the remote training option in 2014. We invested in new technology and instructors to ensure a learning experience as if the instructor were there looking over your shoulder guiding you. Please click the button below for more details on the Remote Training options.

Applications Training

Our High Efficiency Milling class is an intense class that is taught how to implement, evaluate and select components for high efficiency milling to get shorter cycle times, reduce tool wear and extend machine life. Students will learn guidelines to selecting key components with hands on interactions to build their ability in identifying and creating an efficient milling process.

Cimquest has a dedicated Post Processor team for all custom posts that require actual “code” changes. Learning post-processor code is learning another language and is best for those who speak the language regularly to write your Post.

Our Post class will teach you how to make very minor edits to common output of the code. Any changes to motion and other extensive modifications need to be done by our Post Team. This class is only offered several times a year and is in-person class only. No remote training available.

There are some common changes that previously were done in the post and can be done through the software settings. Check out our 2 Minute Tuesday videos to learn how to make these changes:
