What a great success our Advanced Manufacturing Exo / Open House event was last week. We had over 420 people in attendance and everyone got the opportunity to see what’s hot in the Advanced Manufacturing arena. Our 3D printing showroom was open all day and everyone got a chance to see the printers in action.
We also had over twenty vendors exhibiting and demoing their innovative products.
Attendees were able to see and learn about products for Design, Scanning, Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering, Inspection and 3D Printing. In addition to being able to network with many vendors, attendees also had the chance to sit in on over 24 different presentations covering 3D Printing, Manufacturing, and Trending Technologies. These presentations ran every 30 minutes all day long so there was always something to see and do.
We were honored to have featured speakers from the executives at MakerBot, Mastercam, Onshape and HP. Each of them gave amazing talks on their products and how to successfully run a business in today’s changing economy.
One of the highlights of the day was watching Scott Simonetti use his 3D printed prosthetic to play pool and beat just about everyone who challenged him in the “Billiard Challenge.”
All money raised was donated to Camp Nejeda and everyone had a ball watching Scott play and explain his amazing trick shots.
The event ended with three lucky winners. We raffled off $500 in print services, a mini Bose speaker, and a Makerbot 3D printer. Congratulations to the winners.
Thanks to everyone who came out for the event and to everyone who helped make it such a great success. We are already looking forward to the next one!
