Come join Desktop Metal and Cimquest at the University of Maryland’s A. James Clark School of Engineering for an informative Metal Additive experience. See first hand how this world-class university incorporates 3D Printing into its curriculum, ensuring that their engineering students are leaving with practical machine experience and knowledge of its processes. There will be three one hour sessions starting at 9 AM, 10:30 AM and 12 PM. Select your session when you register.

This experience will impart a deeper understanding of Metal Additive Manufacturing to attendees, demonstrating how it can be applied to your business. Each session begins with a lecture by a UMD faculty member, where they will discuss the background of the engineering program. From there, Desktop Metal/Cimquest will discuss metal binder jetting and its benefits. Afterward, you will be granted a tour of UMD’s 3D Printing lab with a product expert, where you will see the various 3D Printers UMD employs, including Desktop Metal’s Shop System™. UMD will even have some of the program’s students there to answer questions about their program and process. Last but not least, you’ll end the event in one of the “innovations labs” where your questions will be answered and you will learn about several killer applications for metal 3DP.

In addition, if you’d like to receive a feasibility/cost analysis for one of your parts, please send your STL or CAD model to Jim Snodgrass at jsnodgrass@cimquest-inc.com, beforehand to see if metal 3D printing can impact your business.
